Niaz Zia School Registration Form
UX Project- Oct 2020

Niaz Zia Design School is a new established school which has organized to offer one-session virtual classes in the field of art, design and decoration such as floral arrangement, catering and party decoration. The company is established in 2020 by Niaz Zia, a designer and influencer. Our group is hired to design a registration form for the users so they can register fast and easy for their classes. Since the company was new established, we built the registration form from the beginning to run. 

PROJECT OVERVIEW
Problems we faced:
 

Classes information were posted on Niaz Zia instagram page. 

  • User may loos the page for classes information which offered on instagram post or stories. 

Classes time and date are shown in Pacific time where Niaz Zia school is located.

  • Users participate from all over the world. So, they did not see the classes time and date in their location when they browse the classes,

  • Converting the classes time and date may caused confusion and loos the class they paid for.

Having users from all over the world and Iran makes the payment options varied.

  • pay pal and credit card payment is not accessible for people participating from some other countries such as Iran. 

  • Every student need to email the recipe to school and they email back the confirmation and the zoom link to them.

Goals:
  • Making the process automatic to reduce the human error for registration.

  • Improving the efficiency of registration so we have less  cancellation request caused by current registration difficulties.

  • Improving the information accuracy during the registration process for the users. 

  • Pushing up the number of participants for the better profit.

  • Creating an easy, user friendly, and fast registration process.

  • Showing class's information based on the user location and specific time zone.

  • Encouraging the users who are interested in classes to register sooner.

  • Giving a pleasant experience to the current customers so they come back to register for more classes later. 

  • Assigning the privacy policy and classes rules to the users.

  • Designing an option for the user to register for more than one participant. 

Roles and Responsibilities:

Our group was dived in 7 teams, each specifically worked on one part which were: Research, Survey, Zoom tutorial design, E-book layout design and Registration form design.

Our team of 10 members focused on Registration form design. We had several zoom meeting to talk, brainstorm and exchange ideas to reach the best solution. We used the data from Survey and Research teams to develop a functional registration form.

We chose a Quantitative, attitude study based on the users data we accessed such as :

  • Interviews

  • Instagram accounts who are following Niaz Zia page and their comments and ideas

  • Gathering information from users who participated in the classes 

  • Data from Survey and Research teams

Quantitative Data

Total number of participant in the survey was 1100 which 300 of them was among the users who has already participated in Niaz Zia classes.

  • %24.4 are 20-30 years old

  • %12.7 are 40-50 years old

  • %56.8 are in Iran   

  • %25.1 are in N-America

  • %39 paid in Iran’s bank

  • %22.4 paid by credit card

  • %22 had sponsor and did not pay

  • %24.7 sponsors had problem with registration and converting time zone 

SWOT Analysis:

We also used the SWOT matrix to determine the strengths, weaknesses ,opportunities and threats. 

SWOT results also helped us later to do a better competitor analysis.

  • Direct contact with target user for better 

  • Easy advertising 

  • The Friendship that audience feel

  • Access easier to the talented instructors

  • Finding Sponsorship much easier than others

  • Not be able to offer an offline classes

  • Limited audience because of language barrier.

  • It is hard to manage audience expectation because they would expect to communicate by Instagram direct instead of the website contact page. 

  • Have an opportunity absorb potential users easier because they will be advertised by other followers.

  • To be able to inform the users in several ways.

  • Since it is not an offline classes , instructor can see the feedback during the sessions.

  • Time difference barrier between the organizer and  most of audiences.

  • Language barrier

  • Limited access to Email , Computer and new technology 

  • Many of audience are not familiar with general online classes rules

Customer Journey:

The customer journey is designed based on the created persona. I predicted the persona’s actions, emotions and thoughts and her decision process in each stage of registration.

These analysis in addition to user flow later helped to sketch the registration form and design a prototype.

During the pandemic, all the session were held virtually and on zoom . All teams collaborated and presented their ideas, works and data their found and shared them with other teams. ​
